It's totally amazing and almost unbelievable how a church of one million members (in the U.S.) can support TEN (10) fully accredited baccalaureate-degree colleges/universities. It's absolutely phenomenal how our educational system has grown over the past 150 years, based totally on the sacrificial giving of the church membership.
Nowadays the Adventist families are failing to recognize the worth of an SDA education, and the enrollments are dropping, and the donations of church members are way way down. It's inevitable that something will have to be changed. IMHO, these two smallest, struggling institutions will probably have to be closed eventually -- or converted into trade schools. Not everybody is college material -- more people should be able to be trained as beauticians or auto mechanics, and have this done in a Christian, SDA, environment.
==========
Edit: Should have said one million members *in North America.* Because two of those ten colleges are in Canada, of course.
