The artist has beautiful light and color in this picture of a lady stepping in shallow water. The artist is an American impressionist, son of a publisher. He lived his last years in Pasadina, CA.

That "white" dress is magnificently, heavenly lustrous! One could write a poem about this painting. (Several on the forum could.)

Notice the pink of the underwater ankle and toes.
And in the reflecting light how her left thigh glows
As ...

Notice the pink of under water toes
How in reflecting light her left thigh glows
Effulgent - golden water, ripples - blue
And lavender laves where it renews
each moment, shining brightly as it flows.
And now she lifts the cloth above her knees
Lest it be dampened and lose the glow
In which she's wonderfully dressed.
It is a vision - the joy of living
In Christ's freedom his righteousness,
Which to us this painting - is freely giving.

Has someone else already gotten out? Are they waiting on the shore? Is it the sea of Galilee??
