Are you joking cause you are not making sense...

0.1428571 = one seventh of the number 1 is a mathematical constant.

The seventh in a series or a seventh of another number is not.

My point was that saying we are Seventh-day Adventists is not the same thing as saying we are Seven-day Adventists. The point is a linguistic rather than a mathematical one.

Noting that we worship on the seventh in a sequence to commemorate the seventh in another sequence by itself tells us nothing about the kinds of entities that made up the original sequence. Other arguments need to be made.

I know, the 'we're not Million-Day Adventists, we're Seventh-day Adventists' thing is just a throwaway line, not unlike the 'God didn't make Adam and Steve' throwaway line. The point is that it's not an argument.

I think he made Adam and Eve actually.
Many have been misinformed and think contrary.

I am actually in full agreement with the main point you are making here, but it is important to acknowledge that God didn't make any of us the way he originally planned for people to be. That is, none of us are as God originally planned for human beings to be. For instance, He didn't make people confused about their gender. While this doesn't mean it is right for Steve to marry Adam, it should help us to be understanding of why he might want to.

I think God did made humans the way he intended them to be, but sin corrupted the human race so that, as you say, we may have inborn tendancies that are not "god-like".

I also think we weren't created to ever have to endure pain, especially emotional pain, but we have to go through it all the time from one source or another...that is why death can hurt so badly..we were all created to live forever...so we don't know what to do with separation that death brings.

Yes, I agree that God certainly did make Adam and Eve exactly the way He intended them to be. The whole plan of redemption is to eventually bring us back to being like that first pair before the Fall.

Although God may have not intended Adam and Steve to get married, becoming good fishing buddies and sharing their fish with neighbors and friends could be part of His plan.

You got that right. I think you've got a good thought there, Shane.

Oh for pity's sake: remind me never to toss in a throwaway line about homosexuality in a discussion with Christians. They're so obsessed with it that they will immediately head off topic to follow it.

Please forget Adam and Steve! My point was that "we're not Million-Day Adventists, we're Seventh-day Adventists" is not an argument, and doesn't even really make sense. Allow me to provide another example:
