that is a good question an I am not for sure
but maybe it means how far can a person travel
to and from Jerusalem before sun set????
or maybe it was going to visit a friend or
relative in a close near by town from Jerusalem.
I HOPE this will help???? ALSO maybe
some one else knows for sure????

Hey dgrimm60. Yes it probably is that simple, I don't want to read to much into it but I do want to understand the language. Hum... Maybe getting out some of the older maps may help.

According to several commentaries: distance from Jerusalem to Mt. of Olives; 2/3 of a mi; 2000 cubits.Gerry
