Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.

Here is a question I might use to start a Sabbath School class discussion:

What did you find puzzling about Jesus' conduct in these situations?
When you study Jesus' puzzling conduct further, you notice that:
You may choose only one

A thought on Jesus getting angry. I see Jesus getting angry when He saw others getting hurt. When the disciples failed to heal the sick, He got angry. When the vendors were taking advantage of the poor, He got mad. When the Pharisees were taking advantage of widows, He got mad. However when He was the One getting hurt, He said, "Father forgive them for they know not what they do".

We tend to be the opposite. When someone hurts us we get mad. When they hurt other people we are more willing to look the other way.

He may forgive us, but at the same time, He is angry at us for being disobedient. The Bible and EGW are full of examples of Him getting angry at those who go against His Word.

I guess I would have to be shown where God gets angry when He is hurt. I know of many examples where He gets angry when we hurt others.

It is true ...

"The Lord IS slow to anger."

Praise God for that.

Just tagging on, I don't think the Lord is angry at our disobedience as He is disappointed and sad at our bull-headedness.

The reason I say this...when my children were young, Yes, I became upset and frustrated that they had chosen unwisely.
As the adults they are now, I am disappointed and sad at some of their decisions. But then, that is just my perspective on the situation.

Punishment will come to them, to me but it will be in measure of opportunities available and allowed to slip away. There are cultures that have not been given the advantage of knowledge that we have - so who will be punished more? For not knowing and doing?
