Hey. Global warming aint all that bad after all.

According to an article by Bob Reiss ... "The race to own the arctic" ... Global warming has some great benefits that we are experiencing already.

Because of the ice melt .... New sailing routes are opening up. This means big savings. "A container ship sailing from China to New York would shave off more than 3,000 miles by going through the Arctic. Each trip would save as much as $2 million on fuel and fees." The more melting the better.

"Until recently, the Arctic's wealth - which may include up to 25% of the Earth's oil and gas reserves - was too difficult to reach."

So, the answer to our energy problems is to insure that more Global warming developes so that access to the Arctic oil reserves is achieved. And better shipping lanes are opened. This may be the boost to the economy that we have needed.

Sounds kind of like the farmer eating his seed corn in order to get through the famine.

Global warming makes me feel warm inside.

Hmm - poor peoples' countries getting flooded and obliterated makes you feel warm inside? Not trying to be combative, though I know it sounds like it, but this kind of flippancy in the face of massive human hardship doesn't speak to me of a God who notes the fall of every sparrow and numbers the hairs on every human head.

Hmmmmmmmm....According to SDA thought, God is restoring His image into mankind...at least His children.....And Jesus died for the ungodly.....

By dying for others do you mean fighting and dying in a war against evolutionists, atheists, muslims, and homosexuals?

There are many Christians who are happy to die for the right reason.

Is that how Jesus died? In the process of killing sinners? Not quite how I remember the story.

My bible doesn't say anything about how God died in a war....It said that He died for the ungodly. His children have His image. Let's put your christianity on the line? Are you His child?

That's how I remember the story, it's important to read the whole Bible. Because it is the whole scripture that speaks of Jesus.

You have no idea how many people are condemned to death because Jesus died on the cross. Read the whole Bible to get the whole picture of Christ's actions. I recant nothing, as usual.

So, are you saying that, because God kills, it is ok for US to kill...And that killing is an acceptable image for us to reflect, since God kills?

The Bible states that God died for all, we are all ungodly. Ungodly mean exactly that ungodly. Ungodly does not mean a child of satan. Jesus clearly states that he came for his lost sheep. He used his blood to ransom them. Only God's sheep will hear his voice.


War, maybe you should get a copy of the Great Controversy, being in an adventist forum and all. Jesus did in fact die in war!

nishaun, please refrain from name calling and belittling other members. We have been working hard to clean our home of negitivity. If you want to stand by your beliefs and statements be prepaired to back them up with chapter and verse from the bible. Just saying it's so doesn't make it so.

Unfortunately I think we (humans) tend to question first and except much, much, later. I wish it wasn't so. I pray that our membership will praise God first when a brother or sister finds their way to God no matter the road. Do we really need to take apart anothers conviction line by line? Are we so like our Father that we can decifer the heart of someones faith? Not by a mote. So if a member degrades or belittles anothers walk, point out how wrong that is and let me know about it. Oh an in those cases where there is alot of educated verbosity pinging off the walls, could you translate it to simple terms for me too.
