Feel free to share this information.
1. Elder Walter Wright, who has served the Lake Union Conference as president, has announced that he will retire at the end of June. He was a pastor in the Allegheny West Conference, and served as a pastor for his own family in Germantown, Ohio. Later he became a vice president of the Southwestern Union Conference, and then secretary of the Lake Union Conference, before becoming the president of the Union. Most recently he completed a term as the chairman of the board of Adventist Health System. He believes that God has healed him of the cancer that he has been fighting. A committee date to talk about a replacement has not yet been set.
2. When Shawn Boonstra was in Portland, Oregon, a person wrote to him saying, I was so lost before you came to Portland. People came to my door and invited me to the meetings, and for the first time I didn't shut the door. You showed me there was something to live for---God----and my unforgiven sins have been forgiven. God bless you my friend.
