Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

A tornado has completely demolished an Adventist Church in Southwestern Missouri. Get the latest update here.

Neosho another Battle Creek? What have you been smoking, Redwood?

Don't you think we have to be careful about calling natural disasters the wrath of God being poured out on a particular individual or group because of their wicked ways? Look at all the flooding and tornadoes that happen in the Midwest, over and over again, while San Francisco basks in the sunlight (albeit smoky sunlight at the moment). Does that mean the Midwest is more wicked than SF?

What it comes down to is that we all suffer because this world is a sinful place. God grants us grace, peace, and power to live here and be a positive influence by letting Him live in us.

In the meanwhile, do you ever imagine as you go over the Golden Gate Bridge, or on the BART train under the San Francisco Bay, that today might be the day of the Big One?

Good comments LynnDel . I agree with you. But I had to say something to get the conversation goin. I guess I would ask you ... why didn't God answer the prayers of protection for this church. If the church had been saved it would have been "God's will". But since it was lost then we say it was just a "natural disaster". I'm just throwin out the questions .... don't shoot the messager !!

At that time some people were there who told Jesus about the Galileans whom Pilate had killed while they were offering sacrifices to God. Jesus answered them, "Because those Galileans were killed in that way, do you think it proves that they were worse sinners than all other Galileans? No indeed! And I tell you that if you do not turn from your sins, you will all die as they did. What about those eighteen people in Siloam who were killed when the tower fell on them? Do you suppose this proves that they were worse than all the other people living in Jerusalem? No indeed! And I tell you that if you do not turn from your sins, you will all die as they did." Luke 13:1-5

Good reply, Norman. Any significance in that it was post 1844? Now, where would that path lead us?

(Just joking!!)

God bless,

Beryl
