Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

It is not a matter of whether we must choose God as much as it is a matter that we cannot choose Him without His intervention as long as we are still in bondage to the prince of darkness.

Yes, I agree, but there must be a conscious decision on our part, albeit with the help of God. We are not automatons, God gave us the capability of choice. Everyday we must chose to follow God and to do the work God has planned for us.

Joshua 24:15 ". . . choose for yourselves this day whom you will serve". There is very definitely a choice we have to make for God each day. God may choose us to do some special work for him, and we must choose to serve God and this can be done only with His power.

For those who are "born again", the choice we "must" make can be likened to the first born's experience upon entering into this world from the womb. He/she "must" breath in order to maintain life. Just so "must" the "born again" continue to receive the breath of life (the "Holy Spirit") that eternal life may be sustained.
While it is possible to starve one's self to death, either spiritually or physically whether for the long or short term, it is easier to choose for Christ once being born again than it is to choose death, for to choose death one must feed the old man of sin until the new creation promised, expires from lack of sustaining grace through the Holy Spirit.

"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him." John 3:36 KJV

"And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son." 1 John 5:11 KJV

"He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life." 1 John 5:12 KJV

"For He Himself has said, “I will never leave you nor forsake you.”" Hebrews 13:5 NKJV
