Gail Heaven forbid you end up alone and don't know why Registered: 12/10/02 Posts: 13751 Loc: Buon giorno, Principessa	1 Kings 20:28- The man of God came up and told the kng of Israel, "This is what the Lord says: 'Because the Arameans (Syrians, KJV) think the Lord is a god of the hills and not a god of the valleys, I will deliver this vast army into your hands, and you will know that I am the Lord.'" This verse alludes to the opinion that was prevalent among all heathen nations, that different parts of the earth were ruled by different divinities. They had gods for the woods, crops, mountains, seas, heavens, rivers and for the underworld. Apparently the Arameans thought that the God of the Israelites, Jehovah, was only the god of the hills and nowhere else. John317 Registered: 11/13/05 Posts: 10830 Loc: CA	I think we can relate that idea to how we also can sort of put God in a box and think that He is concerned about one part of our lives but not another, or we can think of Him as the God who has power at church but not as much at work or at home.
