Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.

Loc: Still a bit short of reaching ...
You spoke about the problem with dealing with Clergy having affairs.. What do you think is the best way for any denomination to handle that?

IN EGWs day she had recommended in a couple of situations that the repentant minister, and his family go overseas..

Both the victim and those entrusted in protecting the victim need to confront the possibility of the perpetrator victimizing others, spouses or church members. I recommend using professional resources for helping families recover. A violent person should never be moved to solve the church or family problem. This only creates a new and unsuspecting pool of victims.

I believe you have a key word here REPENTANT. Maybe being sent overseas is a good way to distance the family from the embarrassment that was caused by his indiscretion. Once again my thoughts are---this pastor should not be allowed to stay as a pastor, anywhere, until he has had time enough to regain his respect and trust with his family and the conference. He may never be able to be a pastor again but there are other areas in the church where he can be used. Without repentance there is NO place for him anywhere in the denomination!
