Any dreams for the future (for internet ministry)

Oh, I have lots of dreams and fortunately I serve a God who isn't short of cash or ideas. :-)

One of my future dreams is to build a recording studio where we can record more of our content in-house instead of having to set up and tear down sets on church platform every time we want to record (as with Hope Sabbath School) or use borrowed space (as with Hope on Fire). That dream looks like it might become a reality starting at the first of this next year. Having that would allow me to produce a lot more short content (2-5 minutes length) because I can leave the set up and then just jump in to record. I also want to use the studio to produce more timely content for the web church attender instead of the more generic video that we show now before each service starts.

This year I was blessed to receive the funding for a new HD camcorder, so now I am starting to produce content in HD. I bought a unit that is small enough to allow me to go out in the field to record yet still produces full 1080i/24p content. With this unit we are now recording our Young Adult services (Deeper) and posting those to their website and as a podcast. I have a number of projects that I want to record with it as well including some on-location work for Pastor Morris's sermons and classes.

In conjunction with the studio I want to develop a post-production lab where I can start plugging in all these youth and young adults that we have who are budding directors, photographers, videographers, and post-production whiz kids. I'd really like to see their talents used for God and besides, I could really use the help. :-)

And finally I want to relaunch our current church website with a lot more current and updated information instead of it just being a destination for watching our live or archived services. We actually have a lot of different parts and pieces out there on the web, so having a revamped website will allow me to pull all those parts together in to one place. We have some really great stuff out there or in development and so I need a place that pulls it all together and keeps people coming back for more.

But those are just my dreams....God may (and probably) has many other things in mind as well.
