Have you had much experience with moving local Visitors, meaning non Church members, from being online to being in the pew?

I think I spoke to this somewhat already in the earlier question about moving from technology to touch (nice turn of phrase, btw).

I have not seen what I would consider "large" numbers of people moving from being online to being in the pew. There have been a few every year and in many cases I wouldn't expect there to be a lot either. Many of those who attend online do now live in our geographic area. Another large segment of our online community is connected via the programming that is shown on the Hope Channel and since a large number of them live outside the United States I wouldn't expect them to move from online to in the pew.

And I'm not uncomfortable with that fact either because I don't see our ministry so much as moving people from online to being in the pew. I see God calling us more to an equipping ministry via what we do online. Pastor Morris (our Senior Pastor) is very much a teaching pastor who delights in expository and narrative preaching as opposed to, say, evangelistic preaching. For this reason I see us having a lot of connections with other Adventist Christians in a wide variety of circumstances rather than reaching the unchurched or the seeker. But this is in keeping with our church Mission: Preach the Word of God. Lead people to Jesus. Help others to do the same. Now perhaps this will change over time. I know that several years ago we didn't even have a Web Church Ministry (let alone a Web Church Pastor), so I wouldn't begin to put limitations on what God has in store for us. I'm just enjoying the ride and can't wait to see what He has in mind for us next. :-)
