A note from Kermit Netteburg

This is kind of a general note, but many of you knew my dad as well as
me. My dad passed away early this morning at the Loma Linda Medical
Center. He was 90. His dementia had advanced rapidly in the past 60
days, and it was a blessing to let him go. I came out this past
Sabbath, and he went downhill rapidly.

Dad served the church for 24 years as treasurer of the Northern Union.
He also served as communication director for about 20 years of that
time; I suspect that he and I are the only father/son duo to edit union
papers. He also served in treasury for the North Dakota, Nevada-Utah
Conference, and Central California conferences.

Dad was born in St. Paul, Minnesota in 1914. He and my mom Vernice
were married there as well in 1942. They returned to Minneapolis in
1952 when Dad became Northern Union treasurer, and stayed there after
retirement. They were blessed to live in the Twin Cities most of their
lives, surrounded by long-time friends. I was their only child, and I
can't imagine a more loving home to be part of.

If you wish to send cards or letters, please send them to us at my
mom's home:
