In addition to KTSY, its "sister" Adventist radio station in the Washington/Baltimore area, WGTS, has a regular audience of at least 275,000 people every week! And from feedback they get this includes many unchurched and many who consider WGTS to be their church. Yesterday they concluded their 3 day "Sharathon", raising more than $1.5 million in direct listener support, the overwhelming majority of whom are not Adventist! (Sadly, many Adventist's are so unsupportive of this radio ministry that there was serious thought given to selling this highly valued "asset" to help bail out the financially stressed college it is associated with.)
I would be willing to venture that the listernership of these two stations eclipse all of the listenership of 3ABN Radio and LifeTalk Radio stations (similar in format and content to 3ABN Radio, but actually owned and operated by the Church)combined. The bulk of their stations are Low Power FM (FCC regulated to a broadcast radius of less than 5 miles) which usually have limited potential audiences. Nice to know that there is another station like KTSY, Tom..I wasn't aware of it.... Ooh, if only we would allow our youth to really take the wheel and move among our people who really know how to evangelize....We could be Home within a generation...But this 3ABN junk is weighing us down...It's the Jim Baker and Tammy Faye Adventist hour...yuck! KTSY just got thru thier sharathon....they were asking $600,000 from a Treasure Valley that holds about 315000 people....They were asking basically for $2 for every man and woman in the Treasure Valley...They only got $510,000....Quite impressive from the $70,000 they asked from the community origionally....

Stan, if you get the channel, talk to Mike Agee from KTSY and see what you can do to spread the gospel there...Or from what I understand, talk to the general manager from KTSY's sister station....

What differentiates our "God loves you" message from Benny Hinn's or Ron Parsley's or Jimmy Swaggert's or Jim Bakker or even the Pope's?
Ours is backed with the Bible truths.
I heard "Jesus loves you" my whole life from the priests and nuns who taught me, along with all their lies. Didn't stop me from obeying the devil.
Wasn't till I heard the TRUTH about "life after death" and the TRUTH about "hell" and TRUTH about "the Sabbath" and the TRUTH about "the ten commandments" and the TRUTH about "the Second Comming of Jesus" that I fell in love with God.

Ours is backed with the Bible truths. So, a radio station is to divide the country with it's brand of Christianity......Why? If a radio station can play the music that is catchy, that people like to hear, music that identifys with feelings, how easy would it be to utter truth to them and for the HS to cause them to search it out for themselves? Don't you guys get it????? TALK IS CHEAP. Everyone is soured on decisive talk. Look at the politics forum....Look at any religion forum....No one gathers people together..not people from differing denominations... To unify, let them listen to music that allows them the catharic of grace, forgiveness, and mercy....Let them hear a Father's redeeming love...Let them hear the Holy Spirit in thier souls, and they will come.... They will listen to those who have a message in a song with a guitar....How come you guys don't hear that????

We hardly have any ministries that reach out to the "Biblically Illiterate". Almost all of the Adventist media and print are speaking "religiounese" that will bounce off unsaved like a rubber ball.
Remember that love for Sabbath and 10 Commandments comes as a result of acceptance and indwelling of the Spirit. Not the other way around. If we can do it without Christ... then we are not that lost after all.
We need much more ground to cover outside of our circle of safety. There are so many ministry outlets... yet we hardly ever consider taking these outside of the talking TV/Radio heads. How about a well done movie? Now, that would be an idea? How many HQ Adventist productions do we see out there?
Why don't we see any? If Hollywood can do it for money, can we do it for God?

Yes, you recite them well, John....but now comes the two questions....do you understand them for you, and does your action reflect that understanding? "...even so must the Son of Man be lifted up, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life. For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved." John 3:14-17 NKJV "Since all have sinned and are falling short of the honor and glory which God bestows and receives." Romans 3:23 AMP "...for every one -- whoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, he shall be saved.'" Romans 10:13 YLT "A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!" Proverbs 15:23 KJV "Then I saw another angel flying in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach to those who dwell on the earth—to every nation, tribe, tongue, and people—" Revelation 14:6 KJV This is happening now by the body of Christ around the World. Seems like the right season. God will separate the chaff from the wheat. Blessings!

I have never met a Christian that felt he was free to go out and do as he pleased.
I think if Christians actually felt this that there would be many more murders.
This old mantra must be unique to ultra conservative Adventists. I just don't see it in my community. Perhaps you have not met any Christians who have had God's Law written in their heart and therefore don't wish to murder anyone. "This is the covenant I will make with the house of Israel after that time," declares the LORD. "I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, and they will be my people. " Jer 31:33 NIV There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit. Romans 8:2 KJV Blessings!

Let the HS guide the individual and trust that the HS knows what He is doing "For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect. For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God." 1 Corinthians 1:17,18 KJV "...and go, enter in unto the Removed, unto the sons of thy people, and thou hast spoken unto them, and hast said unto them: Thus said the Lord Jehovah: whether they hear, or whether they forbear.'" Ezekiel 3:11 YLT Blessings!
