Monday, February 21 The Resurrected Christ

Luke 24:33-49 MKJV “33 And they rose up the same hour and returned to Jerusalem and found assembled the Eleven and those with them. 34 And they said, the Lord has indeed risen, and has appeared to Simon. 35 And they told what things [had happened] in the way, and how He had been known by them in breaking of the loaf. 36 ¶ And as they spoke this, Jesus Himself stood in their midst, and said to them, Peace to you! 37 But they were terrified and filled with fear, for they thought they saw a spirit. 38 And He said to them, Why are you troubled, and why do thoughts arise in your hearts? 39 Behold My hands and My feet, that I am He! SDA BIBLE DICTIONARY, article “Resurrection” – “It was the certainty of Christ’s resurrection that brought point and power to the preaching of the gospel. Peter speaks of “the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead” as producing a “lively hope” in believers. It was their [the apostles] personal knowledge of “the resurrection of the Lord Jesus” that gave “great power” to their witness).”
