The second coming of Christ is the blessed hope of the church, the grand climax of the gospel. The Saviour’s coming will be literal, personal, visible, and worldwide. When He returns, the righteous dead will be resurrected, and together with the righteous living will be glorified and taken to heaven, but the unrighteous will die. The almost complete fulfillment of most lines of prophecy, together with the present condition of the world, indicates that Christ’s coming is imminent. The time of that event has not been revealed, and we are therefore exhorted to be ready at all times. (Titus 2:13; Heb. 9:28; John 14:1-3; Acts 1:9- 1 1; Matt. 24:14; Rev. 1:7; Matt. 24:43, 44; 1 Thess. 4:13-18; 1 Cor. 15:51-54; 2 Thess. 1:7-10; 2:8; Rev. 14:14-20; 19:11-21; Matt. 24; Mark 13; Luke 21; 2 Tim. 3:1-5; 1 Thess. 5:1-6.)

Most of have seen temples on the tops of artificial, truncated mountains in Meso-America, either in person or in photos. Some of these temples were the scene of horrible and barbaric human sacrifices, "gifts" intended to appease or "feed" the "gods".
These human-built temples and artificial mountains were earthbound replicas of something these barbaric civilizations saw or knew to exist: the real Temple on the real Mt. Zion populated by real gods, extraterrestrials, that is.
On Earth, the little Jewish temple, also an earthbound copy, along with its many rooms, functioned more or less as a kitchen where the priests were cooks and butchers whose main duty was to prepare the animal sacrifices and grain offerings in order to symbolically feed the LORD in his dining area. In the next life, that is what humans will do: grow food to feed the LORD, the priests, and others like him.
In the Last Days, the LORD will return to rescue his faithful servants, those who practiced self-sacrifice for the good of others, did not get angry at those who harmed them, and gladly obeyed his instructions because they loved their Master. The LORD will reward those he can trust with the greatest of gifts: eternal life.
Sure, when the he arrives there will be clouds and smoke, but hidden within this smokescreen are things that would amaze even the most scientifically imaginative. Much like the sound of a blaring diesel truck or train horn, one or more of these flying "mountains", cities really, will announce their arrival and the Chosen Ones will be collected into them as these "mountains" circumvent the Earth. There, inside, they will be kept safe until it's all over.

If we search "tempest" or "whirlwind" in our computer Bibles we can see that the presence of the LORD in the skies above generated hurricane-force-like winds below. The decrease in air pressure is how the prophets were "abducted" or otherwise brought onboard a craft or vehicle above the surface of the Earth.
This vortex was also responsible for the enabling of Jesus to walk on the surface of the Sea of Galilee. He was rendered nearly weightless by the suction from above, like a huge vacuum cleaner, really. Their little boat probably would not have sunk since it was experiencing the same lifting force.
When the resurrected are rescued from a dying planet at the End of Time, that is how they will enter the very large starships---they will be sucked up into the bowels of the mountain-like craft.
As Jesus indicated, these resurrectees will all be given the bodies of children, all clones, because those who are allowed entrance into the Kingdom of God must become little children.

I do believe in the second coming of Jesus Christ, and I am eagerly waiting for His return to take us with Him for a thousand years in heaven.
