I have a problem lately when I am typing in the reply box. If I type more than a few sentences I can still type but without being able to see what I am typing and in order to see what I am typing I have to bring the whole thing down again and again. It is very annoying to say the very least of it.

Any idea of what is happening?

Thank you.

It didn't used to be that way ... but with the 'improvements' of modern science ... that's what we are left with. In many ways ... I prefer the old software.

Do you mean that I am not the only one having this problem?

Same thing happens to me a lot of the time. Usually most noticeable when I am quoting others.

I am using IE, if that helps to pin down the problem.

It happens to me sometimes, but only when my posts get past a certain length. I've been trying to keep them short.

Yes. But that doesn't help us long winded folks who have to correct all the errors on the internet. :)

I don't believe it is a "problem". I think it is something 'desired' by those in high places here. Like I said ... it was not an issue before the software change. Change ...

I HATE it

I use "firefox" and have never had this problem! So far from the posts here it seems that maybe IE is the problem? Just a thought, try something other than IE and see if you have the problem still.

I think it is a problem and not something desired by any of the staff here at Club Adventist. It may not have been a problem for you before the software change, but it has been a problem for me for approximately two years now.

I have tried using Firefox, Mozilla, and whatever other browsers we have installed here. Sometimes it happens. I don't often record it when it does, but because I use IE most often (I find it much more convenient to use), I notice it more when I am using IE than the others.

I've had the same problem. I usually end up clicking Submit, and then going back later to Edit for correcting the typos on the part I wasn't able to see the first time.

Therein lies your problem. My advice is always .. never download ANY updates. The past is always better than the future. We as SDAs know this from the SOP. (At least on this earth.)

Maybe I'm not following you, but when you click on the reply icon you are sent to the full reply screen on a new page. To shrink or enlarge the reply box all you need to do is click on the black up or down arrows at the upper right corner of the box. If you roll the mouse over the down arrow it should say "make textarea bigger" (sic).

In my longer posts I have to enlarge the box otherwise the text keeps jumping back up to the beginning. But maybe we should practice saying whatever we need to say in five sentences or less...

Well, that's a great tip! One I'd never even noticed before. Thanks for the information about the arrows. I might actually use that!

I discovered the fix for this problem. It was driving me a bit crazy at times.

I got a Mac. Problem solved!

Where did you learn how to cry like a Malaysian, sky?

Never get rid of a NEW computer! Unless it's got Vista on it. LOL

But then it wouldn't be new would it?

Sky and all the way to do it is to do it in your word processor and when ya gets it likes ya wants it, copy and paste it in.

Works for me, I keep the word processor sized down over the forum so I can see back what it is I'm commenting on and if it is a new post, your word processor is best by far in all ways.

If you have windows you have "works" it has a decent word processor and does a lot more, it's not the best but it is a decent one.

Try it!.
