How about that- a promise of regeneration AND renewing! We need not despair if we run into a rut. When we again turn our eyes to God we can accept these gifts

When a lost person is seeking salvation - this model that is "all of Christ" is the only one that works. For the lost - this view is the one that leads to salvation.

For the saved - they are not looking to "become saved" they are looking to "stay saved" in the true Romans 11 and Romans 2:6-16 model. The same one that Christ mentions in Matt 7 and in his parable in Matt 18.

For the saved - the Romans 6 model of victory over sin is the one that they follow. Not because the saved are lost (as nonsensical as that would be) but because the saved are "new creations" and they have the New Covenant promise of the "Law written in the heart and mind" as they "Walk by the Spirit and not according to the flesh" Romans 8.

The lost do not have that.
