Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

Some time ago, I was the Chairman of a City's Chaplaincy organization. One thing that I really felt is that Chaplains have a high degree of integrity and are willing to listen. One Chaplain ended up sending his kids to our School. He was very open minded and willing to do things like that.

Have you found Chaplains over all to be very accepting and accepting of those who differ?

"Let not the wise man boast of his wisdom or the strong man boast of his strength or the rich man boast of his riches,
but let him who boasts boast about this: that he understands and knows me,
that I am the LORD, who exercises kindness, justice and righteousness on earth, for in these I delight," declares the LORD .

People who are chaplains are generally accepting of people with whom they differ. The reason for this is simple: People who do not want to work in a pluralistic context generally do not attemt to become chaplains in a pluralistic context.

However, this may be changing. I have not given up on all of my contacts from within the Army. I am being told that the Army chaplaiancy, and assumed other branches of military service, are seeing more people attempt to become chaplains who are unwilling to work within a pluralistic context. We may have to wait to see what the future brings in this aspect.
