Club Adventist
Welcome with open arms fellow believers who don’t see things the way you do.
And don’t jump all over them every time they do or say something you don’t agree with
– even when it seems that they are strong on opinions but weak in the faith department.
Remember, they have their own history to deal with. Treat them gently. Romans 14.1: The Message

Loc: Still a bit short of reaching ...
What would you say to a young minister who feels called to be a Chaplain

#1 Meet the qualifications. Find out what they are, and meet them.

#2 See # 1. The time has long passed when we can expect to become chaplains without the commonly accepted qualifications.

#3 See # 2. The selection process is often highly competative. In areas where it is appropriate, exceed the minimumn qualifications.

#4. Recognize that there is no easy path, and this process must begin by becomming an ordained minister of the SDA chruch. To do this, go the standard way, and following ordination and pastoring a Church go for chaplaincy.

#5. Plan to spend a number of years in this process, and recognize that it may never come.

#6. Plan your life in a way that you can earn your living is you never become a chaplain, and/or never become a SDA ordained minister.

NOTE: Ordination is not required for SDA women to enter the chaplaincy. We have women in chaplaincy to include the military.

#7. Realize that God is in charge. You can only place yourself in a posiiton where it is possible for God to use you. If you do such, God can intervene to make what He wants happent.

NOTE: My listing above is not an order of priority.
