Here is a question I would use to begin discussion on Daniel 8:

What have you learned this week about the little horn?

Now, what Temple is this vision referring to, a Temple built on Earth, landed on Earth, or orbiting Earth in space?

What is the time frame that this Temple is located in?

If this Temple is built on Earth prior to or following the millennium, it is occupied by humans destined to be martyrs. It is attacked and overrun by the armies of the Little Horn, part of the 4th world power which arises at the End of Time.


Following its desecration and destruction, it is rebuilt in 6.39 years.

It is, I believe, from this Temple that the 3 angels messages are proclaimed to the whole Earth to the assembled masses of humanity, all of whom must either choose to follow God or Satan. After the time of testing for all and the Great Judgment Day, two crops on the Earth are harvested, the crop of those worthy, and, the grapes of wrath (Rev 14).

The events of Dan 8 occur after the 1000 year period at the End of Time, following the 2nd Resurrection. Four world powers arise in succession to govern the innumerable masses, Babylon, Medo-Persia, Greece, and Satan's Kingdom, destroyer of the cities of the world.

We can attempt to find dates to fit the 2300 days in history, but these efforts are futile. 2300 days means 2300 days, occurring at the very End of Time.
