Pastor Mark was injured in a fall in the woods on northern Virginia. He has had surgery to his hip and is in a wheelchair.

The bones heal relatively quick. 6-8 weeks. But the muscles atrophy during this time. Rebuilding muscle is not an easy thing, especially for seniors.

As someone who is recovering from a broken ankle, I know he has a long road ahead of him. Let's keep him in our prayers.

With this major change in leadership, comes major challenges. They need our prayers.

In our dally prayers, lets lift up a specific person or team. Everyday, see if we can focus on individuals.

This is our job, to be a praying people for our leaders. Local Pastors, Mission/Conference people, Union People, Division people and GC people.

I know they need our prayers. It is good to be as specific as possible. Health, Spiritual Guidance, conflict resolution, Courage, Patience.

I would appreciate prayers for my daughter, Shania. She is in her final year as an undergraduate and completing her prerequisites for med-school. As part of one of her labs she discovered the glucose in her urine was high. We got blood work done and her blood sugar was normal, a bit on the low side but the glucose in her urine was extremely high. There were some other issues with her urine too. She is making dramatic changes in her diet, journaling and doing urine tests at home. They did determine she has a UTI (urinary tract infection) and she is being treated for that. She has been under treatment for cists on her ovaries. We will go back to the doctor for more lab work and an ultrasound the end of next week.

I am encouraging her to feel her feelings. Eventually she will get to a place of acceptance and whatever the issue is, she will accept it and the treatment and whatever adjustments need to be made will become a new normal for her. But between now, and that future time, she will experience emotions like fear, disappointment, anger, etc. Those emotions are part of the path she is travelling. I have discouraged her from trying to suppress them. She told me she started crying yesterday when she was going over her lab results from the doctor with her lab instructor at school. In her situation, not only is she studying to become a doctor, she is surrounded by classmates also on the same path and professors that train our doctors. That may sound comforting but the information available to her can be overwhelming.

She needs as much prayer as she can get. He plan is to become a psychiatrist. If she doesn't get into medical school, her plan B is to enroll in the PhD program in psychology that her current university has. She is a servant than wants to help other people.

Most people are not naturally assertive. We tend to either suppress our anger or be aggressive when we express it. Most that are aggressive are not violent. They will yell, call names, criticize and even humiliate others but not do any physical harm. Then too, there is passive aggression which is also a common means to express anger. Many Christians mistakenly think that suppressing anger is the Christian way to handle anger. In fact, many of those that suppress their anger will even deny that they are angry. They will say they are "hurt" but not angry. Those hurt feelings are anger. They are simply in denial of the anger they feel. Some medical doctors, like Dr. Gabor Maté, believe that those who suppress their anger are more likely to develop cancer while those who express it through aggression are more likely to develop heart disease.

The best way to express anger is to be assertive. Becoming assertive (instead of suppressing it or acting with aggression) becomes a MATTER OF PRAYER for Christians honestly trying to change. Of course, praying is rarely enough but it plays a big role. Being assertive involves standing up for one's self in a calm and firm manner. It also involves allowing others to disagree and even act inappropriately. One being assertive does not feel the need to beg and plead for others to agree with them. They state their case and let the cards fall where they may. When others act inappropriately, an assertive person forgives (that is not the same as suppressing anger). Forgiveness is authentic. It releases the other from condemnation and turns their case over to God.

Please, pray for the miracle of healing for my mother.

She is a 74 year old woman who is unable to get the COVID vaccine due to an underlying blood disorder. One of her doctors cautioned her to not get the vaccine as it would have likely caused her blood disorder to cause her life to be shortened quickly.

The household she lives in (me, my husband and my grandmother) all contracted the COVID virus sometime late July. We started showing symptoms on July 26th. We have all been vaccinated, but not my mother.

Mom stayed isolated from the rest of the family, but began showing serious symptoms through the week: bowel irregularity, confusion and poor oxygen uptake. I insisted she be tested though she was certain she "did NOT have COVID." Her test was clearly positive. I called an ambulance and sent her to the ER on Monday, August 2nd. She struggled greatly with oxygen uptake and the disease kept progressing further.

The ER staff moved her to ICU. She was put on oxygen. She was given several different medications to combat the disease. The oxygen maxed out. She was put on a BiPAP for extra oxygen. It maxed out. As of yesterday morning (one week after trying less invasive methods), she was intubated with a ventilator and put on a feeding tube regimen. She is sedated and resting prone on her belly.

The nursing staff is sometimes reassuring. Sometimes they are very worried and caution to give me any false hope.

	I appreciate them all.

I am unable to contact Mom directly. I cannot call into the room where she could see or hear me. Because I too, had COVID symptoms within the past 2 weeks, I cannot gown up and go visit with her. My siblings have other restrictions keeping them from visiting in person.

I must simply send my love via prayers and God's healing angels who will care for her in my place.

	MY PRAYER REQUESTS:

I pray the Lord's will be done. I pray for the miracle of healing. I pray that Mom find a sense of calm and peace as she continues this struggle. I pray that the ventilator will do the job it needs to do, and that she will soon be able to breathe on her own. I pray for her clarity of mind when she is regains consciousness. I pray for her heart, her kidneys, her lungs, her stomach and all her vital organs to be healed and disease free! I pray for her soul. I pray that wherever her mind is, deep inside, that she is finding comfort in the Love of God. I pray that I make the right decisions regarding choices I'm called to make. I pray that God will direct my path.

WILL YOU PLEASE JOIN ME IN PRAYING FOR MARSHA. SHE IS GOD'S DAUGHTER AND OUR SISTER IN CHRIST.

Jesus said whatever you ask under my name Father will give to you. Does anyone know this is how it is written in the original language? I am sure everyone knows that not all our prayers are answered even if we ask in Jesus name. The generic answer to why not by many theologian is ; we did not ask right thing for ourselves, God will give to you at an opportune time.

I have been asking God to rid of my pain from shingles infection for three and half years. Isn't this a right kind of prayer request, or right time?

Jesus meant more that what he said. Just like to know what the original text says.

I know I dont come here often but I need prayers for my son, wife as well as the parents of my daughter in law. They lived in Paradise, Ca. They had to leave their home of 60 years with only their medications. They had no time to get any animals they had or clothing or anything else. They lost every single item they have had. They are at a loss as to what to do now. They have no home, nothing. My son and his wife are helping them as much as they can. The parents even picked up another very elderly couple who have disabilities too. My son was paying for both hotel rooms and are providing as much help as they can. It has been devastating to everyone in the town of Paradise. The town is basically non-existent. The only way they knew their home was gone for real was a picture a press person took as they walked the devastation there. The mailbox was the only thing left and it still had the house numbers on it. So, please, even though I hardly come here, please pray for my sons in-laws as well as everyone who lived in Paradise.

I thought I would share it with you all, in case you are discouraged or feel tempted to be discouraged in the future.))

Dear Friends of “Dial Daily Bread,”

I am sure that everybody who believes in the Lord shares a common problem: we seldom get answers to prayer as fast as we want them. Some get tired waiting and give up their faith. Habakkuk, in chapter 2, verse 3, encourages us not to give up: "The vision is yet for an appointed time; but at the end it will speak, and it will not lie. Though it tarries, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry."

That word "tarry" in the Hebrew is two words. The Good News Bible has the idea: "The time is coming quickly, and what I show you will come true. It may seem slow in coming, but wait for it; it will certainly take place, and it will not be delayed." The idea is not that God is slow, or that He has to be waked up.

He's very quick--so much so that Isaiah says He answers our prayers before we pray them ("before they call, I will answer," 65:24), but the answer seems slow to us. One reason is that there are hindrances to His answer getting through to us, as Daniel describes in 10:12, 13 when the angel tells him, "From the first day that you set your heart to understand, ... your words were heard, ... But the prince of the kingdom of Persia withstood me twenty-one days."

It could well be that the Lord has already sent the answer to your prayer, but some similar hindrance has occurred. In the meantime, it's your job to believe in the Lord, to appreciate His character, to know that He is your Friend, not your Enemy. So David says over and over, "Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for Him" (Psalm 37:7). Wouldn't you be embarrassed if you became impatient like King Saul when he was waiting for the prophet Samuel to come and he went ahead in his impatience and did what he should not have done? (1 Sam. 13).

Habakkuk is telling us, "Don't get impatient; hang on. The Lord will not truly delay. It would be a pity if when His answer does come, you in the meantime have given up so you can't receive the blessing, and then like King Saul you lose everything!"

Anyway, most know that we had retired and moved to Florida back in Jan/Feb '11 and than had to move back to MA in Aug/Sep '12 when we found out that the DCF were taking our grandchildren from our daughter and the father. Well we now have guardianship of our grandchildren. Parents didn't and still have not shown that they are capable of taking care of the children. We had intended to stay at least another year to give them more time to bond with there children, but my Mom fell and broke her leg this past Sunday. So we have a problem and that is how to take care of her. The best place is to be back there and close. We need prayers, that we will be able to pack, and get there, find a place to live. Figure out what to do with my Mom! Can she realisticly(sp) live on her own at her own house or have to go into a assisted living facility!! Or care we really take care of her. My has also been diagnosed with Lime disease, so she really can't take care of her as well as when she broke her hip back in May of '11. And with us now taking care of the grandchildren, we really can't take care of her and them. But with Gods help and your prayers we are going to give it a shot. So thanks for your prayers in advance. Not only that we're going to try and accomplish this before the month of June is over.

I had no close family other than my two parents, my dad was self-employed, didn't have a social life and never really connected with me at all. My mom was more social and liked to canvass with the book Steps to Christ, but she ended up in the hospital alot and she died recently due to cancer.

I went to public school and never made any friends. I never made friends in church either growing up because my dad was a "church hopper", so there was no real fellowship with anyone. We've moved to a small city and my dad finally settled down to stay attending one church.

I wasted student loans going to a private college studying a major that I didn't really like anyway (criminal justice), which I later changed to liberal studies. I also ran out of pell grant due to having moved from another state before finishing at a 2 year college and then having two study another 2 years all over again because of credits not being transferable.

Now I can't seem to find a permanent job, it gets really lonely with nobody to talk to.

I've been thinking of doing what my mom used to do as a college drop out, and that is to go canvassing or at least pass Glow tracts out in the street

I might even try connecting with my church members more, I suppose. Maybe they can find me something to do..

I've also been thinking of going back to college, although I'm not sure how finances would work out or what I'd even want to study...

I guess I'm asking prayer for direction in life

	Urgent prayer request for safety.
I have had problems here with my neighbours for 10 years. We have only been on the farm a few months over 10 years.
When i took my son to college this monring, their min horses were on our property, this was at 820ish AM.
they were still on the property on dusk- they had waited until i went next door to other neighbour to ask fro help, then they came over, sending their kids first, and they only got one and left the rest behind.
Their 2nd oldest son, wouldnt speak to me, but only to our neighbour. He is constantly on drugs, he is supposed otbe supervising the children of his older brother ( the boys' parents have full custody but arent doing their job properly). The custodial parents have placed the children in direct care of the ir drug addict son. With full knowledge of his addiction.

I am now terrified for the safety of my family, animals and property. Their oldest son, 31, is a meth addict as well, just out of gaol in the last 3 or 4 weeks, and is back to his old habits. He pulled a gun on someone. So you can understand why i am terrified.
I had just in the last 2 or 3 days, learned to accept that i should be praying for them, as a whole, that they realise what is going on, and that they move- as I told God i didnt feel safe here anymore.
There is a lot more going on too- child welfare is involved, but they arent doing anything really about it.
I now do not feel safe to report anything of what i know or i have experienced.
I beg f God with all that i am, I KNOW i should be praying for them to come and know you. I prayed through my fears, very long in the making. But this has happened within 3 days of doing this.I need them to move- they have been saying they are going to do this for years. But i need them to go NOW..... i cant live like this.
Please God, i pray for safety for our family and property and animals, but I also pray for these young children caught up that are not being looked after properly ( including their youngest who is 8 years old- already being taught to look at stuff to decide what can be stolen). Keep the children safe. Take them from their family if needed- but keep them safe.
Also, please send your spirit onto tis family. They cannot continue on this way- not looking after their children/granddkids this way, not looking after their animals at all, and not looking after their house ( apparently it looks like a rubbish tip inside). There is a suggestion of a dog being thrown through a bedroom window- but they are refusing to replace the window. Please also keep their animals safe.
God, please hear my prayer. I am in fear... and i shouldnt be. I just cant do this anymore.
Please send your angels NOW to conquer all evil involved here....under the authority and power of your Son Jesus Christ.
Amen.

These people made no attempt to repair the fences their horses damaged, and made no attempt to come and get their horses this morning. I managed to get the horses off. HOWever, when they went home and up the driveway, they came down and shut their gate- but the gaps still remain in their fances.

I cannot go on like this. I am scared, my old pre SDA self is coming out, and i dont like what this is turning me into. GOD PLEASE HELP US!!!

While I wish to have a season of prayers lifted up for a specific young woman in my family, all of our children are in need of having intercession whether they are infants or adults with children of their own. Time is growing short and my prayer is that all of our children will be on the earth made new.

Sully is a male Maltese. He was a rescue puppy. Around two years of age he started having health problems. His first problem was thrombocytopenia. Then he had a growth on his eyelid removed. Then patella problems came along and now trachea issues.

So far I have spend over $10k for his medical issues. He still needs patella and trachea surgeries. This alone will cost over $5k. Personally, I've had enough. I'm trying to get my finances in order because my wife and I are retiring within 4 years. I'm afraid if he can't be treated with medication that I'm going to have to have him euthanized.

	Any suggestions?

	Sully needs your prayers.
