Now that the World Church has made plain what it believes Scripture says about making women rulers over men, what will the General Conference do about the divisions, unions, and conferences in rebellion?

Then above statement was made in a SDA internet. Does this mean that ordination is equal to rulership? Is the pastor a ruler over the congregation?

Not sure why it seems that every new ordination of a woman, in rebellion to the General Conference, seems to push the envelope further and further. Well, you read the article:

As if WO isn’t bad enough, the Central States regional conference in Kansas is planning on ordaining a single woman with strange views on sexuality.

Kimberly Bulgin, who is the ‘pastor’ of the New Beginnings SDA church in Witchita, Kansas, is scheduled to be ordained, in violation of the will of the Seventh-day Adventist Church on October 23.

	Your Majesty doth right
well know, neither I myself am ignorant, what great imperfection and
weakness by our first creation is allotted unto us women, to be ordained
and appointed as inferior and subject unto man as our head; from which

At the 2019 Annual Council, the Norwegian Union Conference (NUC) was publicly warned over its policy to cease the ordination of males and to Commission both males and females.

NOTE: It should be noted that males are allowed to be Commissioned and some are.

The NUC has filed an appeal of that warning, which may be read at:

The following is the response to the NUC request:

This is the response of the NUC:

My personal comment: It appears that the denomination does not have an appeal process in place that objectively could be considered fair and without bias.

The quote listed below should not be considered to be a summary of the document. Interested people should read the document for an understanding of what it says. In brief, the document makes the following comments:

	* The practice of the North German Union Conference in Blessing (Commissioning) both male and females is in compliance with the General Conference Working Policy.

	* The discipline voted at the recent Annual Council was neither fair in its process nor in that it failed to allow the North German Union Conference to defend itself to include informing the voting members as to what it actually was doing.

NOTE: On a personal note, I question as to whether a formal process exists by which the North German Union may appeal the voted discipline.

In Scandinavia the church is totally dependent upon employing female pastors, as there are not enough men who are willing, or possibly do not feel that they have the gift of pastoring. This is a matter of being able to do the mission that is the task given to the church, plus the credibility of the church in our context.

In the Adventist Church we have had female pastors for decades. Elder Neal Wilson said this at the 1990 GC Session concerning female pastors in the US:

“… there were both men and women who were equally prepared, equally trained, and equally endorsed by the church, and given equal responsibilities in carrying out ministerial functions. But the men, who carried a ministerial license, could perform certain functions that the women, who did not carry a ministerial license, could not, even though they had equal training and background” (GC Session 11.7.1990 2 pm).

More than 20 years have elapsed since a group of feminist scholars at Fuller Seminary realized that the truths concerning the economic Trinity (the specific roles of the members of the Trinity in our redemption) posed a threat to the assumptions of feminism. In a paper that rocked the seminary, these feminists proposed that any member of the Holy Trinity could have become the incarnate Son of God. In terms of inadvertently exposing their actual agenda, these ‘evangelical feminists’ let the proverbial cat out of the bag by reading the assumptions of feminism back into the Holy Trinity. By means of their proposal concerning the incarnation, in one fell swoop, they descended into the historic error of modalism.

	…

Christ is capable of nurture, but the discourses of Jesus are filled with hard and sharp truths. His messages have a rugged, masculine feel to them. By contrast, female preachers tend to selectively emphasize and major in nurturing and comforting truths. This is not a malicious decision on their part but is very much in keeping with their divine calling of nurturing life (especially children).

When was the last time you heard a woman thundering from a pulpit divine warnings of damnation and the necessity of fearing God? Have you ever heard a woman preacher, with neck veins bulging, speaking of the traumatic, hellish consequences of remaining impenitent?

It seems that more than not, the liberal ideas of today that would have been considered sin in the past are supported.

It has been said that men more than women are pushing this women's ordination issue. Perhaps this partly explains it.

In his book, Passive Men, Wild Women, Pierre Mornell observes that it is actually quite common for a woman to secretly fear that her husband is a ‘wet noodle’. And, in response to that fear, the woman may ‘test’ the man to see if he is overly pliant, like a good soldier boy carrying out her every wish, rather than assuming leadership. If he acquiesces, argues Mornell, it only confirms her worst fears—that he is a passive wet noodle! What Dr, Mornell uncovers in his book is that the female response to male passivity is often frustration and anger, manifesting itself in histrionics and over-the-top displays of leadership. -

As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths. Isaiah 3:12

The book I am reading now, Kenneth Bailey's book on Jesus Through Middle Eastern Eyes, has a chapter all about the place of women in Jewish society at the time.

The stuff he has recorded agrees with what our friend Kevin H has been posting for a while: That Jewish women had it not too bad in OT times. It was in the Intertestamental period and thanks to Ben Sirach that men got very strict regarding the place of women in the home and in the synagogue.

The author lauds Mary, the mother of Jesus, for instilling in Jesus a big respect for women. He did things that were culturally quite revolutionary. Namely, that Mary sitting at Jesus' feet was typically not done as it was telling everyone that she was a disciple of His. A woman!

The passage in Luke 8:1-3 about Jesus being accompanied with both men and women disciples and that He also was provided for out of their means would not bat an eye today but in the culture of the area even today is considered shocking. Women are allowed to travel with men but were only permitted to sleep with relatives.

Bailey found this statement of Luke's absolutely astonishing, first, because women were included as disciples, secondly as they helped provide for Him of their personal means, and thirdly because a mixed group travelled and lived together.

Seems the NAD Ministerial department has gone over board on pushing the feminist agenda. Even Bible characters are not safe from their agenda. Seriously? Changing out David for a female to push women's ordination?

	http://www.fulcrum7.com/blog/2018/9/17/george-knight-versus-the-general-conference

George’s wrath is centered against president Ted Wilson, whom he accused of working like Hitler as an authoritarian leader (though now he wants to deny that Nazi reference). But, Wilson is simply trying to uphold a democratic vote taken in General Conference Session, according to the policies of the church.

In essence, establishing himself as the theological leader of the liberal rebellion, what George Knight proposes is that everyone must act according to his will, that the church cannot work in harmony with the divine guidance when there is disagreement, on the base of what was voted by all the world delegates in GC Session.

I used to think that we got past rebellions like Korah in the desert. I suspect if the whole of the SDA church were still encamped in a desert, I would be very concerned about the earth opening up and swallowing people right about now! Some also might find a spear thru them and their partner as the one fellow who brought a native girl right in front of everyone and took her into his tent for fornication.

And the clock ticks on and the watchers watch ...
