Fine Arts Contest

The Wanderer

@Gail Here is my only surviving piece of art, from my earlier, creative days. I entered this into a Southern Ontario Art contest, and won first prize! twenty dollars! lol But that was a lot of money in those days. This is just a photograph of the original painting, which, unfortunately, was destroyed in a flood a few years back. I also sold this paining twice to my Grandmother. :D

Very nice! I like it! It's too bad it was ruined, though. :(

I'm so glad you at least have a photo of it. Interesting that you sold it twice to your grandmother!!!

Its a pretty funny story. When Grandma was alive she and I used to sit and chuckle about it. I really liked the painting for sentimental reasons, and so one day she gave it back to me, and then on some other day I needed a few bucks and she bought it again to help me out, and then shortly before she passed, I got it again. And then I lost it in a flooded basement situation!

Yes, for sure. Now for just a little time and energy to try it. Like LynDel above, I too have big boxes filled with frames that need something in them. Atleast I know what Ill be doing for my retirement. :)
