Yes I remember, most didn't buy it than, if I recall. And now that the so-called, called off elections didn't happen, it should show the deam for what it is!

By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}

I'll have to admit that about Soc Sec., I've become quite comfortable living peacefully under its umbrella. As to milking the system, many of the younger fail to remember that that system was fed for many years, expecting a justifiable return when the time came. It isn't the fault of those who paid their premiums faithfully, that the milking of that fund depleted by taking from its' coffers for whatever seemed important at the time, was illegally tapped into.

But then that is highly revealing that it is best to observe the moral code as of a higher calling than the capitalistic code.

That is very true, but I was referring to those that receive government checks to survive that is not SS.If you run into dire straights and require assistance and you know if you milk the system it can just keep coming it is pretty hard to resist.

Shane, most mexicans have the belief that government is the powerful provider for the people in their DNA. I can understand that, giving the corrupt role that government plays in mexico. Thus they come here, allured by the prospect that HERE is a government that will cater to them, instead of the fortunate few in Mexico. This orients them to the democrat party by default (a majority of them).

Not to condemn--but to observe!

When we say "most Mexicans" what are we talking about? Are we talking about Mexican citizens, born in Mexico? Most of those cannot vote here and thus are not relevant to the topic at hand. Most first-generation, Mexican immigrants come here as peasants. They are not highly educated and do not have a grasp on how economic systems function. They are no different in that sense than uneducated people from any background.

Romney lost because 11 million Latino, American citizens voted for Obama. If 1.5 million of those had voted from him, he would be the next President. Second generation immigrants earn, on average, as much income as average Americans do. When we talk about the American, Latino, voting community we are not talking about Mexican peasants that swam across the river. We are talking about folks that in most cases were born here and in other cases came here as kids and went through our educational system.

Unfortunately the majority of the Mexican people that come over to the United States, they're already marginalized in their own country. They don't have very much education and they believe that the government is the only source of wealth.

And that's why, that's why the Democrats want amnesty, and that's why Hispanics vote for the Democrat Party. They arrive here believing that government's the source of wealth. Government's where it comes from. Government apportions wealth, and your take depends on how much you can learn the system.

There's a reason that the Obama administration ran ads on Mexican soap operas on radio advertising food stamps. When you can import a socialist, you're ahead of the game. You don't have to convert them.

Our daughter-in-law is hispanic. She is rather frustrated with many of her people right now.

I agree, it's not all of them. Not all of them.

Funny how that works.I have two hispanic daughters in law and four grandchildren.Their attitude doesn't bear any resemblance .

Our hispanic neighbor that came here the hard way, survived by living in a rattletrap car for the first year or so.Not easy to do in MN. He did not even have a high school education, only a smattering of english and no family here. He now owns his own business, has a beautiful family and extends a hand to new immigrants. Requires only they be willing to work hard, learn english and stay off the streets if they want to stay with him.Otherwise out they go.

He refers to those that live off the system as "those others" to distance himself

Of course, the Latinos that voted for Obama are already citizens. Many of them are small business owners, college educated and/or skilled workers well established in the middle class. Of the 11 million Latino votes Obama got, only about 1.5 million would have had to gone to Romney in order to defeat Obama.

The GOP needs to reach out to them. Yes, Obama was advertising on Spanish soap operas. Why wasn't the GOP?

I guarantee that not every Latino that voted was or is a citizen. I really wish people would realize that not everyone follows the laws of this country. Not all of them are illegal of course, but I can guarantee that many people voted that did not have the right to vote. This has been going on for many decades now.

and how do you know this?

Great spirits have always found violent opposition from mediocrities. The latter cannot understand it when a man does not thoughtlessly submit to hereditary prejudices but honestly and courageously uses his intelligence.

Because, as I have said before....I lived in NM and I worked for the state and worked in the enforcement part of the welfare department and I worked the polls. We caught many illegals or non-citizens trying to vote. Of course not all were Latino that we caught, just the majority of them.

Funny isn't it.Jobs are being lost right and left but that's okay. Utter morons actually believe the jobs are being lost out of revenge.Shows how incredibly stupid the reasoning is when it comes to Obama.

Still waiting for the faithful libs to now step up to the plate, start hiring, open businesses so you can work your backside off out of your love for Obama.

When the gravy train starts to get a little skimpier maybe the loving libs will go to the back of the bus and let those that have supported them for so long go first. You think?

Laz simply does not like the US,he has shown this repeatedly in his posts. He apparently is getting what he wants so perhaps shouldn't deprive him of it.

What's in it for the illegal alien to commit such a fraud? What are they risking by committing such fraud? A simply cost/benefit analysis seems rather obvious that there is no real incentive to risk prison, fines and deportation.

One of the things Christians must get use to in this world, OW, is to be ridiculed, humiliated, suppressed, persecuted, lied about, ad-infinitum. Jesus always told the Truth (not to mention He is the Truth) and look where he finished His course on this earth.

Some will believe when it's presented, others will deny. Our satisfaction when we tell the truth?

"Jesus answered, “ My kingdom is not of this world. If My kingdom were of this world, then My servants would be fighting so that I would not be handed over to the Jews; but as it is, My kingdom is not of this realm.”"

John 18:36 NASB

"Blessed and holy are those who share in the first resurrection. For them the second death holds no power, but they will be priests of God and of Christ and will reign with him a thousand years."Revelation 20:6 NLT

God bless you for telling the truth, OW. peace

Don't be to upset.Just take a look at who and what surrounds support for Obama. No one can claim ignorance. It is tough tho to defend Obama without condemning others.Otherwise you may have to defend a president that is surrounded and by friends and acquaintances that like the following are placed into office.

Can you imagine a Romney presidency endorsing and employing

a Safe School Czar to keep our children safe that has this type of character and this is only a sampling of what this man is

Obama’s Homosexual “Safe School Czar” Tells God “Screw You, Buddy” in Memoir

Probably not hard to understand how many christians support gay marriage and Obama

Romney would never refuse to protect an innocent child that had the poor judgement to survive an abortion. In Mn if I were caught tossing aside my sick or injured dog I would be charged.Yet Obama thinks it is fine to let a "aborted baby" lay on a table till it dies.

Another friend and appointed to position believes our only rights come from government. Interesting isn't it.

There is a long list of socialist/marxist/communist associations and friends. You would be hard pressed to find friends that do not believe this way. This is who Obama is.Your friends reflect much about you,so does the life you lead.

Sunstien...Arguing that citizens’ rights exist only to the extent that they are granted by the government,

"Once we know that people are human and there's some Homer Simpson in them, then there's a lot that can be done to manipulate them."

There are so many examples of this and we have those that chickendance

Can you imagine Romney allowing a ad so profane that much would have to be bleeped to air on TV,but more to the point you don't find those that oppose Obama acting in that manner.

Yet the only defense is to ask if your remember Nixon.

Romney forbid a ad using Obama's heavier than previously known cocaine use.

Obama lied in ad after ad,great one was that he was responsible for the death of a man's wife.

Having it implied or stated you are a liar or perpetuating a myth puts you in far better company and on firmer ground than a Obama supporter.Take it as a compliment
