Kevin H and phkrause 2 Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
Hanseng
On 8/25/2023 at 7:47 AM, phkrause said: German and Yiddish Nat King Cole's hit song Nature Boy was number 1 on the song charts for several weeks around 1947. The song was written by Eden Ahbez, who was raised for a time in a Hebrew orphan's home in Brooklyn. After his song was recorded by NKC, he was sued by a player in Yiddish theater named Yablokoff. The claim was made that Nature Boy sampled his song Shvayg Mayn Harts [Be Still My Heart]. Shvayg Mayn Harts, in turn, apparently sampled Dvorak's Piano Quintet No. 2 in A, Op. 81. While denials were all around, Ahbez did have to pay up, a good sum of money. Rumor had it that song built the Capitol Records building in Hollywood.
