We have 4 months with more than 20 hours a day of sunlight. We have road signs warning of "sled-dog crossings". A paved road is considered a luxury, not a necessity. We have a defunked greyhound racetrack that a businessman is trying to turn into a non-Native American casino. And it is smack dab in the middle of a residential neighborhood. We have the only river where people from 3 states come to dip smelt during the rare smelt runs. Thinking about it now maybe if there were to be a major war I guess the NSA and Fort Meade (which is down the road) would be major targets. All the suff about this area is out there on the net. There is a range of absolutely gorgeous mountains, small town atmosphere, few traffic jams, many jobs available and can't find enough people to fill them! I alwways thought one could get the loma linda vege meat anywhere until I moved away and could not get Loma Linda foods anymore. Then I knew how fortunate we are here in Riverside with a high concentration of Adventists in the area. We have 40,000 adventist living with a 40 mile radius and two Adventist universities.
