Sheesh, who are these people? What's scary is all the people who believe and agree with what they are saying.

Stan, tsk! tsk! I sense a lot of Canadian defensiveness... tomatoROFL

Actually, you might want ask Shane about these good folk from the "fair and balanced" Fox News, since I recall he has been prone to come to their defense on more than one occasion...

This lopsided right wing tripe has earned Fox News the more correct label of Faux News or Fox Noise. And as can be seen they seem to seriously have no shame. And don't get me started on Ann Coultergeist...

And sadly this bit of drivel is quite representative of most of what you find on Fox Noise. Faux News is the official water carrier news agency of the Bush administration, and the prefered source of news for most right-wing Republicans.

I prefer getting my news from Comedy Central's Daily Show.

Welp...we can't afford a TV but iffn we could I'd probably choose Fox News over that CNN stuff. It's nice not having to worry about it.

Personally I prefer Fox News to CNN any time.

Check this story out, written by Bill O'Reilly:

The Media Matters fraud and the press reaction to it had nothing to do with race. It had to do with money and far-left ideology. If it were about race, every news agency in the country would now be condemning CNN for allowing a smear merchant to call Juan Williams a "happy Negro" twice on the air.

Happy Negro is another term for "Uncle Tom," a vicious racial slur. NBC News also allowed attacks on Williams by the usual character assassins working for them. Both CNN and NBC will never recover from their shameful conduct.

Does it surprise you that not one media operation condemned CNN for their racial attacks on Juan? Surely, they know what happened. But we can find no mention of it in the American press. Dishonest, hypocritical, disgraceful.

Now the real story is that FOX News Channel has projected to make many millions more next year than MSNBC, which is complete ratings disaster. Last night on primetime, it came in dead last behind even "Headline News." CNN's also in complete collapse. Paula Zahn has been let go. Anderson Cooper cut back an hour. Their morning program gets hammered by "FOX and Friends." And FOX beats them 3 to 1 in primetime. At 8:00 p.m. I beat them 6 to 1. Now FOX News has literally destroyed CNN. And now they are indeed desperate....

John 3:16-17

For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life. [17] For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but in order that the world might be saved through him.

I love it. But only catch it every so often on the tube in reruns. I watch some of it on it's web site.

Name calling is so silly and childish really. It always annoyed me when I heard Rush Limbaugh call CNN the Clinton News Network for their bias coverage when Clinton was president. When people start echoing such silly labels I realized they are just regurgitating what they have heard their favorite ideologues say. I try to be a little more analytical myself and not be such a parrot by repeating what all the ideologues are saying.

Depends on whose ox is being gored... :R Silly, yes, but still a bit of witty truth that right wingers preditably denounce...

You have to admit, though, Shane, that giving Coulter a platform does nothing for someone's credibility.

Let's not forget the same news network that gives Coulter a platform also gives one to Al Sharpton. It is all about ratings. Let's keep that in mind. It is not a vast, right wing conspiracy by Rupert Murdock to take over American politics. Coulter gets a platform because she brings in ratings. Sharpton gets a platform because he brings in ratings. It's all about $$$$$$$$$.

With many perhaps. Not with me. Rush Limbaugh's name-calling seems as silly to me as Al Franken's. Even though I agree CNN has a liberal-slant, I think calling them the Clinton News Network was more than stupid.

Good to know I'm not alone in my feelings, Bravus, Shane...

I love "The Daily Show!"

(By the way, that clip proves you're never too old for a bar of soap in the kisser!)

Oh, I agree, Shane... the motives are mercenary, and they are on other channels just as much as on Fox. I just choose not to watch Fox myself... because there are things people do for money that I don't want to watch them doing.

I was surprised when Sean Hannity got his own program on FOXNews called "Hannity's America." (Geraldo Rivera also has his own program too.) Of course the reason both of these guys, although they hold different ideologies, have programs is because they bring in ratings.

I think FOXNews could do a better job of being balanced but they are in the money-making business too. I do distinguish between "fair and balanced" and "objective". I think C-SPAN tries to be fair and balanced, Newshour with Jim Lehrer seems to go that way and the Sunday-morning political shows like NBC's "Meet The Press" do too. However most network news channels are still trying (or claiming to try) to be objective which I just don't think is and achievable standard.
