It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. cricket
I remember it. I was 8 1/2 years old. It was FANTASTIC! From that year on, winters have been considerably milder.
D. Allan
One of my daughters was probably about 8 1/2 cricket! We had so much fun, cooking in the fireplace. Of course I had to spent 4-6 hrs a day cutting tree branches with my prunning saw (no chainsaw)to keep the fire going. My beard was covered in icicles. Quote dAb O frabjous day! Callooh! Callay! olger
It shore was sumpthin. Bout a hundred folks got kilt between Ohio & Michigan. We hunkered down and popped corn and played monoply until we couldn't stand the smell of popcorn and were forbidden to say the word monop...monop... still can't say it. Wind chills were -60° consistently. Snowplows were reporting that their path was closing completely back up 100' behind the plow. That's when they gave up. One guy in Wapakoneta walked home from work that Thursday evening wearing snowshoes and he tripped over something that concerned him. It was the top of a telephone pole ! A semi truck driver just east of Mansfield was entombed in a snowdrift that was 30' tall and spent 6 nights in the cab of his truck. They got him out alive, surprisingly. I remember going outside to get wood and getting disoriented after 19 minutes. You could get severe frostbite after 4-minutes. I was 18 years old. It was great ! Moderators Kevin H Posted February 25, 2008 Moderators Share Posted February 25, 2008 But don't forget New York (especially Buffalo) and the blizzard of 77. Two years of horrible blizzards, one in NY the other in New England.
