puddles
I had planned to meet my friend Ann for lunch tomorrow but had to call to reschedule. I got her voicemail and left her a message that I couldn't meet and could we reschedule. About 30 minutes later, she returned my call. At first she was fine then got quiet when I ask if she'd had a good birthday. She "had somethings going on" then blurted out "R left 2 weeks ago" and I could tell she was practically in tears. "R" is her husband, and for all intents and purposes over the past 24 years, has been a good one at that. I was so overwhelmed with sadness for her. I did ask if it was like a "mid-life crisis" thing and she said she guessed so. I told if she needed ANYTHING, a shoulder, an ear, ANYTHING, and she thanked me. Before we hung up I told her I would be praying for her and her 2 kids AND for "R" and she thanked me. As I drove on home, I did pray for her and still feel so deeply sorry that she is going thru this. Would you please pray for my friend Ann as well? She is a wonderful christian lady and now has had her world come crashing down about her. Thank you!
Administrators Gail Posted April 21, 2008 Administrators Share Posted April 21, 2008 How sad... I am praying. I'm thankful that Ann has a friend in you, Puddles. May you be a comfort to her through her time of sorrow :( Quote Isaiah 32:17 And the work of righteousness shall be peace; and the effect of righteousness quietness and assurance for ever.
