Dr. Shane
Well, it is another election year and this is one of the hottest political issues so we may as well tackle it again. Some of us were here four years ago during the last presidential election and some have joined since then. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Amelia
I have heard an addage that says you can't legislate morality. And I agree with that. We live in a country where God and government are separate things. To try and get government to decide when life is life is nuts. That is Gods domain and is for individuals to decide for themselves and not others. So abortions should be decided by the individual and not others. Personally one restriction I would like to see put in place is the practice of using abortions by many women as a means of birth control. Especially when those women are getting those abortions when on welfare and the procedures being paid with tax dollars. Dr. Shane
"The idea that you can't legislate morality is ludicrous. Morality is always legislated." "If religion is tied to morality, and morality is tied to politics, then inevitably religion will affect politics, and the last thing those who believe in God's law ought to do - or even appear to be doing - is fight every attempt to legislate those principles out of fear that each step brings us closer to the 'mark of the beast'" Clifford Goldstein "One Nation Under God" Pacific Press 1996 Pages 66, 71 Quote Pastoral Family Counselor...
