Dr. Shane
Edwards was not even able to help John Kerry carry his home state. He served one term as a Senator. I don't see anything he has to offer Obama as a running mate. Obama needs to choose a governor in a swing state. Basically the running mate has to be able to enable Obama to win more states. Edwards can't do that. Edwards background is the same as Obama's. The polls indicated that he wouldn't have won re-election to the Senate and his home state voted for Bush. What does he have to offer? Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Find me at www.PostumCafe.com Author of Peculiar Christianity
Moderators Bravus Posted May 16, 2008 Moderators Share Posted May 16, 2008 Obama/Edwards would be a dream ticket for me in terms of policies and approaches, but I think you're right, Shane - a VP pick should complement, rather than mirror, the President's strengths.
