nuff sed
Why would this be of interest to anyone but employees of the G.C.?
Woody
I wish they were giving the Pastors this. But, I can confirm that they are not. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. I have never had a desire to go to the GC... but if they offer iPhone..... several might... :) Quote If you receive benefit to being here please help out with expenses. https://www.paypal.me/clubadventist Administrator of a few websites like https://adventistdating.com

Administrators Tom Wetmore Posted July 5, 2008 Administrators Share Posted July 5, 2008 Stan, I'll be happy to check for you, but the last I knew GC telecommunications was specifically not providing support for the iPhone for the employer provided phones. Not everyone qualifies for employer provided phones and the status of that policy is in flux right now anyway since the tax law currently doesn't make it easy to administer. (The last I knew, legislation is pending in Congress to fix that problem...) So all things considered, things change and your rumor may actually have substance to it. Tom Quote "Absurdity reigns and confusion makes it look good." "Sinless perfection is such a shallow goal." "I love God only as much as the person I love the least." *Forgiveness is always good news. And that is the gospel truth. (And finally, the ideas expressed above are solely my person views and not that of any organization with which I am associated.) Woody
I would say more about this issue ... but it might be considered off topic. And we have gotten in trouble about this issue before. Therefore ... I resist and remain in silence. And believe me ... that is difficult for me to do. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology. D. Allan
Both are correct. English and Old French rumour or Latin, Spanish and Portuguese rumor. Or the Sanscrit: heard any juicy rautis lately? The modern French rumeur is nice. The pronunciation for Americans, is the problem. Remember Peter Sellers in the Pink Panther films trying to say "moth" with a French accent?! Hilarious! Moeth (mehth) round your lips when you say it! Being American gives one a choice: Assert your independance! The French helped America during the Revolution so I vote for rumeur! Woody
Quote: Assert your independance! The old American spelling of independence is : Independence. But then the new American way is to allow independence so that you can spell it "independance" if you like. Just in fun my friend dAb .... I do my share of spelling errors. But I had thought that you were without error !! At least I thought I had heard a "rumeur" to that effect. So now we can all dance as we celebrate our Independance. I'd bet that Mike Jones would join me in some line dancing. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology. Moderators LynnDel Posted July 6, 2008 Moderators Share Posted July 6, 2008 Y'all have it all wrong. The word is roomer (I just looked it up), and it refers to the little guys on webs who mooch off you whilst catching your bugs. Y'know - the ones in the corners of your darker rooms, the ones with eight legs? They don't have no interest in iPhones. Quote LD

D. Allan
Or could it be "rheum-er"? That would be a neologism for someone who has a cold - look: http://dictionary.reference.com/browse/rheum if you borrow an i-phone you might get a rheum that has been going around and become a "rheumer"!! dAb Quote dAb O frabjous day!
