I would appreciate it if a few prayers could be said for my sister Georgina. She is diabetic (juvenile) and on her second cadaver kidney. Well she was feeling a bit off last week and went in for her labs. The numbers came back bad. Her doc will be on the phone first thing Monday and she will most likely be back in for more tests. So prayers would be great right now.

We will pray for her Amelia...her name is really easy for us to remember, since we live in Georgia. Keep us informed on the test results.

These are most difficult times, Amelia. I will pray for your sister's health and courage; for wisdom and endurance for you.

I talked to my sis tonight. Tomorrow she goes in for more lab tests and then on Monday she's in for an ultrasound. Hurry up and wait, hurry up and wait. UGH

On another topic. George broke her foot(and she didn't even know it), gosh, almost 18 months ago and it's not healing. She is wearing a brace (which she hates) and using a bone stimulator (which she hates even more). She thought she would be out of both by now but the doc told her he wanted to go another 3 months cause things aren't looking the way he wants them. And for the very first time the foot doc uttered the words every diabetic fears, AMPUTATION!! (which would absolutely crush her spirit) So this is another area where prayers would be appreciated.

Thank you for all the prayers.

P.S. if anyone out there is aquainted with bone stimulators; they are the biggest scam going!!!!!! gah

I'll be praying, Amelia. That Type 1 diabetes is the pits. I'm so sorry she's having to deal with this.

Thanks for the update Melia, so sorry to hear of the hard time she is going through. We will pray about her foot not having to be amputated, and that it will heal and get better. Love and prayers going up for you and your sister. lovesign

I was hoping she would get the results of the ultrasound by now. But they still have not come in. She went in and did her labs again. Those numbers came back in the normal range. Very strange. Her doctor did say he she was dehydrated. But hasn't said this is the reason for all the wacky numbers. I got on her case about that. Asked her if she was drinking at least 8 cups of water a day. Nope! She says that she got so use to the low liguid intake when she was on dialysis that she never changed. Silly thing. she can drink all she wants. I also told her that I bet some of the things she has been feeling of late would go away if she started drinking more water. And I ment water. She has this thing about not drinking water. "SIGH" You know, in some ways she is really smart about her health and taking care of herself. Then there is this drinking thing. I just shake my head.
