The search engine doesn't know the difference so we have to restrict usage. If unpaid and non requested users can gain entrance to blocked forums, what good is it? And before you say it all should be free, I will say that boards are not run on free sites with free programming. Somewhere down the line it costs someone to have a board. Who should pay those costs? You enjoy the site? You enjoy the chat room? You enjoy whatever, then shouldn't you cop to some of the upkeep? Everyone and anyone is welcome here. But remember the adage; "You get what you pay for". You don't pay a fee, you get this much. You pay a fee, you get much more. You don't like what you get, you can walk away. It has nothing to do with not caring and everything to do with providing a service. You have made it clear that you are not delighted with our service. So please, there is no need to keep repeating yourself. We charge because it tends to keep the weirdos/ultra conservative wackos out of here. They can say a lot but they're cheap. They don't think their message is worth paying for. The real conspiracy theorists are going to see that and take it as proof that the Seventh-Day Adventists are going along with the New World Order instead of opposing it. They will also say the Seventh Day Adventists are traitors and cowards for not standing with them to oppose the takeover of America by a dictatorship, when our Declaration of Independence says the people have the right and responsibility to keep the Government in check, and to not allow their government to abuse power against the People. The biggest cost to running a forum is to get people to become members, not the rent for the Server, (and shared hosting does not work when you have a lot of traffic. We just spent $200 advertising in one union paper alone. We own a number of domain names to support this one. BUT I do have to say, those who hi-jack moderators and administrators time, ignoring them and spaming them with why why why questions typically want everyone to read their 2 cents worth, and the trend is they never support the expenses with a nickle. In fact, the best posters are often those who give good financial support.
