Stan Posted November 10, 2008 Share Posted November 10, 2008 Viola "Vickie" May Baucom Monday, 10 November 2008 Vickie Baucom, 83, of Shady Cove, died Nov. 2, 2008 in Medford. She was born on May 16, 1925, in Lebam, Wash., to Frank and Bernadine Lecker. On March 3, 1945, in Vancouver, Wash., she married Charles R. Baucom, Sr. She worked as a bookkeeper at Selby Glass in Medford for a number of years. She enjoyed traveling and reading. She was a member of Shady Point Seventh Day Adventist Church. She is survived by her son, Charles Riley Baucom, Jr., of southern California; a daughter, Diana Dale Duer, of Shady Cove; brothers, Frank Lecker, Jr., of Washington and Roy Lecker, of Scottsdale, Ariz; eight grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren. Preceding her in death were her parents, her husband and two brothers. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. A graveside service was held Nov. 6, at Hillcrest Memorial Park. Pastor Brown officiated. Arrangements were by Hillcrest Memorial Park & Mortuary. I have visited the Shady Point SDA church...rather interesting and very conservative church....with a school there....
