Stan Posted December 3, 2008 Share Posted December 3, 2008 Howard Leslie O'Dell, age 68, of Wellston, passed away Saturday, November 29, 2008, at King's Daughters Medical Center in Ashland, Kentucky. At the request of Mr. O'Dell, his body was cremated. Memorial services will be Sunday, December 7, at 1 p.m. at the McWilliams Funeral Home in Wellston with Rev. Ron Anderson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service. Burial will be in the Hamden Cemetery. He was born January 30, 1940, in Chillicothe, Ohio, the son of the late Donald O'Dell and Dorothy Murch O'Dell. Howard was a graduate of Chillicothe High School and was a veteran of the United States Air Force, having served during the Korean Conflict. He was a former self-employed truck driver and was retired from the Meade Corporation in Chillicothe. Howard was a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church in Jackson. He is survived by his wife, Janice Ward O'Dell; children, Cary O'Dell (Holly), of Londonderry and Leslie Southwick, of Chillicothe; stepchildren, James Fox, Jr. (Janet), of McArthur, and Robert Fox (Tami), of Wellston; brothers, Donald O'Dell (Marta), of Parma, Ohio, Roger O'Dell (Jackie), of Leesburg, Ohio, Darrell O'Dell (Janet), of Chillicothe, and Charles O'Dell, of Treasure Island, Fla.; sister, Marilyn Black of Chillicothe, as well as several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate memorial contributions be given in Howard's name to the Seventh Day Adventist Church, 11184 St. Rt. 93, Jackson, Ohio 45640.
