Liz
Ding Ding Ding, we have a winner!!! But I agree with Jeannie who else could it have been? Dr. Shane
I would have voted for Barak too but Time Magazine's "Person of the Year" has really become a joke. They really don't have the credibility they had 40 years ago. Time was in the tank for Obama before he even announced his run for the Presidency. Clinton called them on it during the Democratic primary. So in naming Barak the "Person of the Man" they should just add "Our guy wins". Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Moderators Jeannieb43 Posted December 21, 2008 Author Moderators Share Posted December 21, 2008 TIME Magazine's Person of the Year has always been: The person who most greatly affected the news -- for good or for ill -- during the past year. It is NOT a popularity contest. It is done by calculating the column-inches of reporting attributable to each newsworthy individual during the year just past. The preferences of the editors are irrelevant. It's calculated mathematically. Quote Jeannie

...Change is inevitable; growth is optional.... Dr. Shane
With all the news sources out there how could anyone measure all the inches of all the news stories published in a given year? Woody
Good Link Shane. I have to wonder why 'You' didn't make it again this year. Surely you and I have more space than Obama.
