Woody Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 It seems that Obama already has his 'Katrina'. The Obama Admin. is being criticized for not coming to the aid of thousands without power in Kentucky due to the ice storm that hit their area. How soon history repeats itself. Apparently ... the Obama Admin. has just let Kentucky to fend for itself until mounting criticism forced them into action. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. nuff sed Posted February 6, 2009 Posted February 6, 2009 Do you think that Obama will come to my rescue? My mango, lychee, longan, orange, grapefruit, pomelo, miracle fruit, lemon trees, pineapple, grape and blueberry bushes were all damaged in the frost that we had the last two nights. If anybody's "fixed income" needs "stimulating" it's mine! Quote
Members rudywoofs (Pam) Posted February 6, 2009 Members Posted February 6, 2009 I think the Kentucky governor called out the entire Kentucky National Guard to help with this disaster. Florida and West Virginia also sent National Guard troops to help the State. Sounds like things are still really bad for a lot of folks there. Looks like FEMA is finally on its way to help.... but having to recall most of their emergency meal kits due to tainted peanuts and peanut butter with salmonella. I think you're out of luck, Gladussee!! I feel badly about all your fruit trees being ruined though.. Quote Pam Meddle Not In the Affairs of Dragons; for You Are Crunchy and Taste Good with Ketchup. If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony. Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?
Members phkrause Posted February 6, 2009 Members Posted February 6, 2009 I thought I heard on foxnews from some guy from kentucky who mentioned that the government, actually he mentioned Obama, sent generators down there ASAP. And quite a lot of them from what he was saying, and he was being very thankful to Obama! Not sure if that is accurate or not. pk Quote phkrause Read Isaiah 10:1-13
