Woody
During these hard economics .... I have to wonder if we as a nation can afford the expensive 'trickle down' economics. Obama would have us 'bail out' each and every rich cause in America. Why should I bail out the bee keepers (with all respect to Neil). Look at how the hundreds of billions and even trillions of dollars will mortgage my grandchildren. Is this socialism or communism or what? It is about time to let these companies run their course. Either change with the times Detroit .... or go bankrupt. And this goes to each of the rich American companies that come to Pappa Obama for hand outs. Obama is so supportive of the rich. But I have to wonder if this isn't just so that he can remain in good graces with big business so he can get donations to be reelected. But it is time for America to stand up to Obama's trickle down economics. When is he going to help the poor instead of the rich? All I know is that his trillions are not trickling down to me. Please Mr. Obama .... do what is right. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology. carolaa
How is Obama's trickle down ecomonics different from Reagan's and GHW Bush's?
Moderators Gerr Posted March 17, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 17, 2009 How is Obama's trickle down ecomonics different from Reagan's and GHW Bush's? With Reagan, I got a drop from the trickle. So far none from Obama because the big rats in Wall St. & Washington who are much higher up in the food chain have consumed it all and no trickle has so far gotten past them! Look at how the hundreds of billions and even trillions of dollars will mortgage my grandchildren. Like darts, goverment trys to hit a bullseye, and end up hitting off to one side.... The beekeeping industry IS in trouble...The stimulus bill is really insurance for the beekeepers to replenish the bees that they have lost to CCD et al diseases... I am not sure that this is what is needed, like your interviewee. What is needed is $$$$ spent on research on what is causing the bees to succomb to CCD, Virola mites, ect. In the meantime, Goverment, not understanding what the beekeepers need, are giving money for the replacement of lost bees....Ok, that is a possiblity...sort of... Moderators Gerr Posted March 18, 2009 Moderators Share Posted March 18, 2009 I've seen no pork in my district yet. No bridge to nowhere. No funding to study the sex life of our local pigeons. Besides, the oinks have been with us since shortly after the great revolution, in which case this kind of trickle would not be part of some economic theory like Reaganomics or Obamanomics. Woody
Quote: No funding to study the sex life of our local pigeons. This is an outrage. Just send an email to Obama and for sure he will get onto this pronto. You might even get a bonus for suggesting it. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. carolaa
Does anyone know what the purpose of that study is? I don't have much problem with government funded studies. Usually they are not that easy to get and you have to have a good reason for doing the study.
