GreatLakesGramma
Please pray for my mother's fellow church member, Margaret. After she & my mother finished counting their church's money, on her way home, a child ran out in front of Margaret's car. The child is in critical condition, and Margaret is not doing well at all. Please pray for both of them. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26. Members phkrause
Yes add me to the list of people praying pk Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}

GreatLakesGramma
There was an article about the accident in our local paper, which comes out once a week, on Thursdays. It turns out the victim was not a child, but an 18 year old young man. I suppose Margaret told Mom that he was a boy, and Mom assumed it was a child. The article said he has broken bones - scapula, ribs, & vertebrae. Though there was no skull fracture, he was being kept in the critical care unit for observation. Our paper said the boy is a student at the Michigan State Career Institute, but another article online said he is a high school student. Probably the online article was correct. It says he was at the school taking the ACT test, when he had a panic attack and went outside for a walk. I called my Mom today to ask about it. The boy will live. Margaret is doing better, but still not doing well. She may decide to stop driving after this. That would be too bad. She is 78, but she is still a good driver. GreatLakesGramma
I didn't actually talk to my mother when I called. She does bookkeeping and tax preparation in her home & was with a client at the time. The information I got was from my sister, who was working with Mom, but wasn't with a client at the time. Mom just called me back & I got more information. She said she heard that the boy is an alternative education student at the high school, which means that he is also a student at MSCI. Two other drivers saw the boy step in front of Margaret's van & told the police there was nothing she could have done to avoid hitting him. The police called Margaret to tell her the boy is going to be OK. But he hit the fender of the car and flew up onto the hood & hit the windshield, and that sight is going through Margaret's head again and again. If she quits driving because of this, it will not be good thing. She is alone and has no one to drive her around. Quote Catherine God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever. Psalm 73:26.
