My Vow

There's not a lot of point getting into a round of 'did too', 'did not'.

My point was very simple. I wasn't talking to you at all, I made a point to the discussion in general that there are criteria that an alternative economic plan would meet.

You then made it about me - that is the move to ad hominem argument. Read back through the thread: which is the very first post that is about a person rather than the topic of the thread?

I agree, I then descended to the same level by using sarcasm, and wish I hadn't.

There's no point you and I even interacting, since you only ever post jibes, and it's better for me just to ignore them.

But go back and look at every new post of yours in a thread for as long as you like, and I'll bet 90% of them are snide comments about other people.

You made a factual claim. I provided evidence to refute it.

If you made a factual claim that you were ten feet tall, and I provided evidence that you were not, it would not be "about you" or ad hominem, it would be about a factual claim. That the fact in question is about a person does not make the discussion of that fact an ad hominem response.

In this thread? I don't remember any such thing.

If you're dragging up the past (the medicine discussion about US outcomes), I never claimed that you went ad hominem there.

This discussion would be a lot clearer if separate things were kept separate.

OK, this thread has skewed away from the original topic of political criticism, to personal criticism. The added, he said, I didn't say and let me point out every sentence where I said what, is getting rather off topic and annoying. So I am closing this thread.
