SouthAfrican
God haven't changed, and He will not change. That is just a superfical impression - study the Bible on a deeper level and you'll discover He remains the same no matter what.
Dr. Shane
I think it is wrong to label God with one of our political parties. God's ways are above our ways and His thoughts above our thoughts. I don't think either of America's political parties comes close to God's ideals. Quote Pastoral Family Counselor... Woody
I object Stan. Would you like to further get yourself in the dog house by explaining? Perhaps I am misunderstanding your intentions by this statement. Quote May we be one so that the world may be won. Christian from the cradle to the grave I believe in Hematology. bonnie
I object Stan. Would you like to further get yourself in the dog house by explaining? Perhaps I am misunderstanding your intentions by this statement. The founding of this country I believe had a very special and unique place in bible prophecy. I believe that the founding fathers were led by God as a result of that to draft a unique constitution for it's time. I am sure many don't believe that but time will tell. The US blew it at times, many times doing the right thing at times, doing the wrong thing with the best of intentions,at times doing the wrong thing with the wrong intentions. But the country has remained strong based on that one document. That is beginning to change bit by bit. A lot of people are so heavily invested personally in this love affair with a socialist ,they just know we have at 8 more years as they certainly know Obama could not possibly be a part of that The constitution was an incredible document with the men responsible for it seeing the dangers of excess government control over the lives of the US citizens. This is no longer the case. The constitution will become only a piece of history soon. The freedoms granted us were such that people risked the life of their families and themselves to get here, still do. I believe the time of the end also has the US in a unique position. While I believe it to be world wide ,I also believe that it will be more noticeable here initially As time goes we lose more and more of what made this country great. Made great by a simple document called the constitution. Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. Key Guy
Quote: Old Testament God - RepublicanNew Testament God - Democrat Thoughts? I disagree: 1. Jesus said in John 5:46,47 "If you believed Moses, you would believe Me, for he wrote about me. But since you do not believe what he wrote, how are you going to believe what I say?" [NIV] These 2 verses bind the 2 Testaments together with a very strong, unbreakable cord. Jesus claims to be the subject of the Law and Prophets. (This seems to be too be hard for the Jews AND the Evangelicals to swallow) There are no philosophical splits in the character of God. 2. (ready for this, kids....?) Adam and Eve were actually liberals. Both were unwilling to accept personal responsibility for their decisions and actions. (Adam: "The woman you put here with me" [NIV], Eve: "The serpent deceived me"). Cain didn't accept responsibility to care for even his relative's right to life. He apparently thought that was God's job. ("Am I my brother's keeper?")

Members phkrause
Actually I think if God did have a choice in the matter he would pick the independent party. lol pk Quote phkrause By the decree enforcing the institution of the papacy in violation of the law of God, our nation will disconnect herself fully from righteousness. When Protestantism shall stretch her hand across the gulf to grasp the hand of the Roman power, when she shall reach over the abyss to clasp hands with spiritualism, when, under the influence of this threefold union, our country shall repudiate every principle of its Constitution as a Protestant and republican government, and shall make provision for the propagation of papal falsehoods and delusions, then we may know that the time has come for the marvelous working of Satan and that the end is near. {5T 451.1}
carolaa
The two parties' platforms have changed drastically over the years. On some issues they have actually taken opposite positions from earlier periods. But I'm assuming Stan's friend is referring to the present day parties.
