While watching the news .... on well never mind. Anyways ... I saw the TEA party organizers preparing signs like Impeach Obama others were complaining about only having 'change' in their pockets instead of their government. Hey ... I apologize for adding this thread .... as I know that somewhere there was another thread on this topic. But the day is coming tomorrow. How many are going to the TEA Party? And they are as mad as ... I've never seen anything like it ... this early after a president is elected. They are TEAed off. There are lots of IMPEACH OBAMA signs. Some say to "Tax the Teleprompter" Another one said to Impeach the Teleprompter. They are calling it a revolution. These are people with children and they don't want having their children buried in debt. These are business owners who don't want Obama controlling their businesses. It goes on and on. It took me a couple of years to realize that there are still some Americans who are still fighting it. Some who are sore that the south lost. These tea parties are about power and control rather than liberty and freedom. These tea baggers voted for borrow and spend for the last 8 years. There was very little if any protest as spending balloned. They really don't care about the spending. If they cared they would have been upset before now. This group of people attracted those of the extreem right who hate goverment in general, love thier guns, hate the bail out, and don't want goverment to save thier jobs...If you see the above images, you will see the word "suceed" as in removing the state from the Union...And the Governor of Texas stopped just short of advocating a sucession of the state during his Tea Party.... Is this what we want??? Are we not the UNITED States of America? Apparently, our open society is causing some irresponsiblity on the part of individuals in our states.... But the rest of the country is up in arms. If we weren't in the financial mess we are in there would be FAR less protest. It is much more over money than ideology. Even if the signs say "Get Rid of Socialism" etc..., I wager that the protest would be MUCH milder if there wasn't money involved. No matter who we blame just remember that Repulicans and Democrats signed us into debt, not just Bush but Obama. Apparently they both thought they had to do this, even if the American Public don't agree. I still say it is mainly over money. I think the rest would be "solvable" if we didn't have such huge money concerns. (I.e. even if the average person who is a "republican" who doesn't like Obama for many reasons, would still pull togehter a lot more if there wasn't such huge debt facing America.) Which of course leads to liberty and freedom.Much of the spending was the Iraq war. Other than that many conservatives did take much issue with George Bush and his spending. You are probably right. Until citizens feel threatened they have a tendency to be complacent. The economic mess,power of the government,targeting certain groups etc is beginning to filter thru to many. Maybe a good reading of scripture[Rev] might give a blueprint of how this will go. Here, I think we disagree as to the numbers of this fringe extreemists...and who they belong to...Rember that Idaho guy who was surrounded by Fed Agents, whose wife was shot...about 10 years ago? Or Tim McVey? These are NOT part of the GOP. They hate any orgainzation of politics, but they lean toward, and the GOP is trying to recruit them as thier new base.... I think, again, this is more of a conservative movement....as I am aware of some dems who are concerned about this fiscal responsibility... Estimates were that hundreds of thousands of people came out and protested. I think what was underestimated is the power of a grass roots movement. It will be interesting to see where this ends. We are having another annual tax cut rally on May 2nd. It sounds as if it will be a whole lot bigger than last year,which was large. There is a plan to have another tea party in MN on the 4th of July. It spreads rather rapidly as in comparison to the left and their rent-mob. Well I certainly don't make anywhere near $20,000 a month but my taxes went up nearly 4% over last year. Actually even if they had stayed the same, I don't like paying this much!
