If we all sang the same note in the choir, there'd never be any harmony.

Funny, isn't it, how we accept Grace for ourselves and demand justice for others?

I kinda think that was a little flawed. I played around with it, and after I became a total vegan, grew all of my own food, lived in a house that was less than 500 s.f. and packed it full of people, it had no running water or electricity and I never used any kind of motorized transportation; it still said that it would take 2.5 planet earths to support my lifestyle. It's almost like the "global footprint" people don't want people to live on the planet.

Maybe they are telling us that there are too many people on this planet? Nothing like giving us some REAL encouragement to improve our ways. (NOT!) Hopelessness isn't a very good motivator.

7.4 Earths !! And I am a vegan.

They didn't even have an option for burning tires on the south farm fence row. Very short-sighted of them.

I went back and took the quiz again. Only this time I moved to Oz. Got a few different questions there and was able to get down to .9 earths. woohoo

🌍 Ways to celebrate Earth Day

Earth Day is today, and this year's theme is "Planet vs. Plastics."

Flashback: The first Earth Day was held in the U.S. in 1970. The day of civic activities now spans 192 countries.

Here are some ways you can honor Mother Nature…

🎟️ Confer with others. The EarthX Congress of Conferences is bringing together innovators, investors and experts in Dallas this week to discuss environmental sustainability and conservation. Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is one of the speakers.

  • Today-Friday at the Hilton Anatole in Dallas.

🧴Pass on plastics. Do a plastic audit at home and work, try sustainable swaps and keep reusable grocery bags in your car.

♻️ Sort your trash. Recycle Revolution in Dallas takes a broad range of recyclable items and Frisco's Environmental Collection Center recycles certain types of styrofoam.

💰 Shop secondhand. Facebook has several locally based re-sell groups that cater to parents, couples getting married and homeowners.

🪴 Turn your food into plant food. Plano offers its residents a composting membership with daily drop-off hours. The City of Dallas has these tips for starting your composting.

📬 Time for you to chime in. What else have you tried to reduce your impact on the environment?
