carolaa
I'm curious what thoughts you have after viewing this. Aside from the obvious message to Christians, my first thought was that it sounds like Obama is doing a very wise thing in reaching out to the Muslims. My second thought is that some of us in the U.S. might want to reconsider our attitude toward all the Latino immigrants. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6-3X5hIFXYU

bonnie
HEY CAROLAA THERE was a post here that talk about Muslims being baptized in the the christian faith in large numbers... also the pope and the catholic church will be playing a very important roll in the sunday law dgrimm60 Many SDA's that describe themselves as progressive SDA's do not share the familiar belief in end time events. The sunday law being one of them Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this. bonnie
HEY BONNIE well thank you for the information about progressive S.D.A.'s dgrimm60 There is a lot online about progressive adventists. Altho this could be a completely separate topic in the theology section it is a help in understanding the different beliefs and role political issues will play in end time events. It is quite a departure from accepted beliefs, beliefs as some of us believe them to be of the SDA denomination http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Progressive_Adventist Ron Corson identifies four common areas of progressive belief:[5] * Investigative judgment. A different view of the investigative judgment, or a denial of its biblical basis. * Remnant. An inclusion of other Christians in the term remnant. * Ellen White. A less rigid view of the Inspiration of Ellen White, from recognizing her fallibility to perhaps even denying her prophetic gift. * Sabbath. An emphasis on the benefits of the Sabbath, but a denial that it is the "seal of God" or that Sunday keeping will ever become the mark of the beast. Madelynn Jones-Haldeman defines the six points: * "Felt need produces doctrine" * "Present truth must be recycled" * "Pluralistic interpretations are all right" * "Trappings don’t make the person" * "The Bible deserves genuine study" * "New questions are not addressed by the Bible".[6] Quote Everything you do is based on the choices you make. It's not your parents, your past relationships, your job, the economy, the weather, an argument, or your age that is to blame. You and only you are responsible for every decision and choice you make, period ... ... Wish more people would realize this.
