The comment by the activist is a reflection of what he thinks. Blaming misplaced or misspoken humor doesn't cut it. He can apologize till the cows come home and he can not apologize his way out of that type of cruel baseless remarks A 60 year old man like Letterman making derogatory sexual comments about a teenage girl is saying what he thinks. I can't even imagine my husband thinking in those terms about a young girl,let alone saying it in front of thousands of viewers.
