GreatLakesGramma
My son, the same one with the injured foot, heard from his doctor today that the sore throat he's had for a year now is due to a nasty strep infection. "Nasty" is the actual word the doctor used. He was initially treated for allergies when he went in for his checkup last year, but when he told them this year that nothing had changed, they did a swab and sent it for testing. I didn't tell him that it could have caused rheumatic fever or even killed him by going on for so long. He has recently developed a rash on his chest, which could be due to the strep, and it makes me concerned that it may be doing more damage than we know.
