WASHINGTON - The stimulus package is living up to its provocative name by funding a bacchanalia of behavioral sex research, a Post analysis reveals. The next fiscal year is set to be one of the friskiest ever in the nation's science labs, as researchers probe the ins and outs of sex patterns among humans and even some of our four-legged friends. Among the most titillating grants awarded by the National Institutes of Health are studies that would: * Examine "barriers to correct condom use" at Indiana University, at a cost of $221,000. * Study "hookups" among adolescents at Syracuse University. Study's cost: $219,000. * Evaluate "drug use as a sex enhancer" in an analysis of "high-risk community sex networks" at the University of Illinois, Chicago. That study will cost $123,000. * Study how methamphetamine, thought to produce an "insatiable need" for sex among users, "enhances the motivation for female rat sexual behavior." This country has never stood where it stands today Obama has made it is business as president to demonize private citizens,CEO's, Dr's , Surgeons and insurance companies. His mission is to protect the foolish citizens. He has made a promise to go line by line. He hasn't and has no intention of doing so. He will however take over the US economy piece by piece till he has "reformed america" as he promised. That is one promise he will keep. Obama couldn't let GM file for bankruptcy initially,it had to be done under Obama's control. The government has no business in private industry. The cap and trade is a first,especially in scope. You will lose a lot of your freedoms in that monstrosity besides it will be crippling to what is left of our economy. The health care will finish it off. It is insidious in content . Whether or not most would get passed initially is beside the point. What it says in that bill shows the state of mind and what this happy gangs intent are. Cyberguy brought up their access to our bank accounts.It is in the bill. No death panels?? Not by that name but rationing and the decision who gets treated is right around the corner. Bundling of medicare payments will in effect be a form of rationing. Obama wants medicare bundling. Maybe granny needs to be talked to and decide to forgo treatment and take a pill. Obama suggested Don't forget the woman in Oregon that was denied cancer treatment but they would be happy to assist in her DR assisted suicide. Condemning any business for waste and greed,except they forget to start their crusade at home. Never has a president demonized private citizens. This president has no problem. He ridicules any and all that are against what he is doing and suggests. He is the first presdient to say publically to those that disagree with "His highness" telling them point blank he does not want to hear from them. Now those that oppose "His highness" are "bed wetters" There are always things that are wrong and should be stopped.We have been brought to a place no other president has taken the US. Dr. Shane Posted August 25, 2009 Share Posted August 25, 2009 Some of these studies need to be done. I don't argue that. However these are not job-creating stimulus. I think that is the issue. President Obama was talking about building roads, bridges, railroads, canals, schools, power plants, sewer and water treatment plants, etc. Very little of that has happened.
